Just like a radiant crystal, we each express within solid, circumscribed, physically dense form. Nurtured within the Earth, a crystal contains a spark of consciousness embodied within form. However, as human beings, we are gifted with the ability to physically move through the realm of energy and form. As we move through life, our essential nature is overlaid with a changing array of experiences, yet our essential nature remains unchanged.
Through the miraculous interface that is the nervous system, Divine Being - or the soul - gets to experience the wonder of physical connection, feeling, sensation and emotion. The nervous system is an awesome neural configuration that continually takes in streams of energy. As a highly complex sensory interface, the nervous system automatically and spontaneously adjusts to the energetic information flowing in. This is because excitation of the nervous system, triggers subtle adjustments within the physical, emotional, mental, and subtle energy body. Subsequently, one may subconsciously or intentionally raise or lower their energy to match the energetic frequency of the energy expressing around them.
Immersed in beautiful, uplifting surrounds brings natural attunement, which gently balances the sensory faculties bringing about a profound sense of well being. In contrast to this, experiencing a harsh, imposing environment often disturbs the intricate balance of the nervous system, triggering a response called the "fight or flight" response. Prolonged exposure to energy that evokes "fight or flight" creates stress within the nervous system, triggering feelings of fragmentation and overwhelm. Repeated exposure to the stressful energy, re-ignites the cascade of feelings and sensations first evoked. And so it is that cycling and re-cycling of energy occurs, creating the sensation of being on an endless whirly go-round.
