"Some feelings are to mortals given,
With less of earth in them than heaven.
"

~ Sir Walter Scott, The Lady of the Lake (canto II, st. 22) ~

A Peace Weaver is one who inherently knows
that they can make a difference -through thoughtful action,
a kind word, a hug or a smile. Also described as earth angels,
these beautiful souls radiate with luminoscity as they allow
love, compassion and generosity to flower.

Within our world there is a tendency to label different personality traits and expressions. While this article explores the angelic qualities of human angels, or Peace Weavers, the intent is to journey beyond labels and perceptions and explore the essence of joyful, peaceful expression: through peace weaving.

Within the domain of physicality, the beauty and light of pure essence is expressed within a myriad of wondrous forms. We find ourselves being touched by the light, colour and energy of these creational forces through an array of sensory mediums. In essence, the human experience allows us to 'feel' the wonder and beauty of these creational forces, as they impinge upon the physical senses.

There are those among us, who feel with a depth of intensity that transcends the physical plane. These living angels are here to emanate unconditional love, and assist humanity through the process of enlightened consciousness. Perhaps you may be one of them

Peace Weaver Qualities and Attributes

A Peace Weaver empathically feels directly through the Heart Center, and thus feel the living essence of various energy expressions. Peace Weavers recognise that peace is an innate quality that emanates from the heart: and their focus is upon living this truth. A Peace Weaver may experience the following:

  • Empathic response to the energetic intensity around them.
  • Conscious recognition of worlds unfolding within worlds.
  • Telepathic/Empathic connection and communication with animals, nature spirits, elementals, plants, flowers, crystals and other divine expressions.

Peace Weavers are incredibly genuine and loving, their eyes sparkle with light and they have a wonderful, carefree childlike inocense about them.

Peace Weavers have an almost luminous quality , and radiate with an aura of peace and grace. It's quite easy to recognize a Peace Weaver for they emanate with such loving kindness.

In essence, a Peace Weaver is fuelled by unconditional love. Each action is imbued with loving intent, be it a beautiful smile or a fearless, daring intervention during an emergency. These shining souls often seem to appear out of nowhere to help, guide and rescue and then slipping away like an angel once their task is complete

Empathic Sensitivities

As highly intuitive souls, many Peace Weavers have chosen particularly challenging "life scripts" with the express intent of triggering divine remembrance.

The journey into physicality gives rise to the sensation of being within circumscribed form. Each human consciousness is imbued with its very own personality, complete with a unique, seemingly separate identity. Thus, the newly incarnated soul may become completely identified with the physical experience: and forget who they are and why they are here.

The intensity of emotional experience is often highlighted within a Peace Weaver. This is because a Peace Weaver feels directly from the Heart Centre, which remains very open. Consequently, a Peace Weaver may experience and "feel" the full spectrum and intensity of the energy expressing within and around them. This may trigger a range of responses including:

  • Oscilating emotional extremes: from the euphoria of a heightened state of bliss to the deep melancholy of pain and despair.
  • Empathic Overload: in which various energies are empathically taken on, and integrated into one's own experience.
  • Adverse emotional reaction: internalized external projections may cause one to become overwhelmed, triggering a cascade of reactions ("flight or fight" response).
  • Emotional Samskaras*: Embedded emotional patterning, which may give rise to intense anxiety, panic attacks, feelings of intense loneliness (especially feeling alone, isolated and separate through the empathic experience), depression, dizziness, and the sensation of being out of balance (wobbly moments!).

* In yoga, the unconscious influences that condition the mind are known as samskaras. This Sanskrit word may be translated into a myriad of meanings, but in essence, it describes those patterns that are reinforced by repetition. These patterns become like well worn grooves of thought and behaviour that give rise to habits. The Buddhist master Nagarjuna, who lived in the second or third century called samskaras "the traces of deeds done in the past": with the deepest samskaras being created by acting or thinking in the same ways over and over again. (source: Yoga Journal, January/February 2006).

Empathic Coping Strategies

To cope with the intensity of energy, many form strategies to protect themselves. These strategies are often employed in the developemental stages of life as part of the survival instinct. One of the main challenges is connecting with the support needed to transcend instinctive early coping strategies.

Early coping strategies might include:

  • Avoidance patterns: these may include but are not limited to; distraction (in an effort to avoid consciously facing the intensity of energy), and self-imposed social isolation (as a protective mechanism).
  • Protective patterns: that may include but are not limited to suppression (suppression is part of the fight or flight response to intense emotional energy, the need to suppress emotional trauma may trigger patterns of addiction). Weight gain (in an effort to fortify oneself against the energy projections).
  • Self Medication through Addictive Behaviors: An empath soul may experience profound feelings of depression and sadness in response to the emotional and physical energies unfolding around them. This often compounds their already acute sensitivity to harsh vibrations, such as fear, negativity, and the energy of separation, duality and lack - this may predispose one to seek out various ways of numbing the energetic intensity of their experience. Examples of self medicating through addictive behavior might include substance abuse, alcoholism, smoking, eating disorders, and gambling addiction.

The above strategies spontaneously kick in, as powerful protective responses to trauma (especially in instances where trauma is experienced during childhood and early development). However when one grows into adulthood, these early coping mechanisms tend to limit personal growth. Having said this, these early protective behaviours are actually precurses to enlightened consciousness.

Surrendering and re-membering

Transcending the emotional cascade triggered by the body's natural "fight or flight" response involves cultivating a new way of being, through surrender and release.

Expressing through personality and form, the human experience offers a wonderful opportunity to create: to weave the light of essence into physicality.

Surrendering and remembering empowers joyful transformation of one's experience of duality. Automated responses to intense emotional energy begin to shift. One of the most powerful strategies for reconfiguring automated responses is in supporting and nurturing the nervous system. Movement is also crucial. Movement provides the momentum and energy needed to transcend the sensation of physical density. When we cease moving through the energy, we become stuck. It is only when we move through the energy and initiate change that the veils of illusion are illumined and transformed.
